The OECD-NB Conference on Place-Based Economic Development is an event for regional, national and international thought leaders and practitioners – from the business, public and civil society sectors – to come together to exchange on ideas, policies and practices that respond to the challenges and opportunities brought about by major global trends, collectively adding to the evidence base on what works for resilient regional development.
Topics include trade uncertainty, climate change, demographic challenges, well-being and productivity headwinds and attractiveness policies. While the host region, New Brunswick, is implicated by – and responding to – these challenges and opportunities, so too are OECD regions far and wide. Coming together to share best practices, debate, and engage in dialogue, while working towards concrete actions, including building linkages across places, is what this event aims to achieve.?
